Legoland!!

Whew...it's been almost a month since we went to Legoland. And we had a blast!! Life and a new venture are just getting in the way of my blogging lately. I am going to really work on doing better though..I love looking back at the little and big things I've blogged over the past 3 years and I don't want to slack now.

Anyway...Legoland was awesome. We spent 2 days there at the end of July with Grandma and Papa Porras, Uncle Richard, Aunt Sarah, and cousins Grace and Max. I was very concerned prior to the trip that Juliet was NOT going to be happy about her inability to go on most of the rides. She surprised me by being very chill about it though. She mainly just watched from the sidelines..it helped that she had several adults available to entertain her..and an ice cream from Papa didn't hurt anything =)

There was no photoshopping done to this picture...

That is the actual size of the cucumber I picked out of our garden the other day. I wanted to let it keep growing and see if we could reach world record proportions, but my dad informed me it was keeping the other cukes from reaching their full potential, so I cut it down.

(as a sidenote, I'm not sure how much it's really impacting the other cukes, b/c I have another one going on 3' but very skinny...is this NORMAL???)

books

Aidric has always loved reading..I remember listing it as one of my "things to love about Aidric" before he was even a year old. Lately, he has taken to reading in bed before naps and bed and when he wakes up. The other night, I went to check on him before I went to bed and found him curled up in his bed filled with EVERY book in his room. I couldn't resist snapping a quick picture.

Of all the pictures I've taken lately

this is one of my favorites! Taken with the camera on my computer.

Juliet likes to snuggle while watching Dora...if I have my computer out, she'll somehow find a way to climb up and in to make her own place in spite of it.
