Christmas Eve

Indiana Part II

On his second day in the snow, Aidric built a snowman with just a little help from Papa and Uncle John.

When Daddy arrived, Aidric couldn't wait to show him the snow!

Gingerbread Choo Choo

I saw these Gingerbread Train kits and Bed, Bath and Beyond and knew Aidric would LOVE doing it. But, since we'd be traveling and away from home for the majority of December, I asked my mom if she'd pick one up for us to do at their house. I am SO glad she did, b/c Aidric absolutely loved it. We spread out the "construction" and decorating over about 3 days and he was so excited each time I told him we could work on it. I only remembered to take a picture the first day, but I love the picture of him on Christmas morning with his completed project!
Thanks again for getting this for us mom!

Mickey Mouse Playhouse

I love how her hand is just casually resting on his leg. I love that they are getting to be the ages where they can at least kind of play together. I say kind of because in reality, there are a LOT of tears, screaming and fighting involved in said play. But, the bright side is that those things exist simply b/c they are starting to have the same interests. And I love that. I am really looking forward to watching their friendship and interests grow together.

The title of the post is b/c Mickey Mouse Playhouse is the show that was holding both of their attention when I took this picture. (thanks to Ryder and Claudia for introducing us to that one!)

She makes us laugh

This little girl is SO ornery!! At the same age (and earlier), when we told Aidric "no!" he would get a sad little lip and stop doing whatever he was doing. When we tell Juliet "NO!", she smiles this huge smiles and laughs at us. I usually end up laughing back b/c it's just too funny not to. The other day though, she was biting me on the shoulder while I held her, so when she laughed at my first no, I came back with an even more stern, "NO, Juliet!" Her response? She put her head on my shoulder, patted my back for about 5 seconds and then popped up and looked at me with another huge grin. If this is 13 months...one has to wonder just how terrible the twos are going to be.....

Here she is letting us know she would NOT like a bite of ham

And here she is very enthusiastically showing us that she WOULD like more veggies. (She got distracted by the camera for the first few bites...stick with the video, it's hilarious.)

Merry Christmas!

It's been sooo long since I've updated!! Here's just one quick pic of the kids in front of the tree. I've been taking some pictures, but just haven't had time to get them on here. Soon..

I tried REALLY hard to recreate this picture my friend Mollie took. While I did not get it perfect, I still love this. Thanks for the editing help Mollie!
