Thanks to my awesome friend mollie we had a wonderful brunch for Juliet this morning. Mimosas, banana bread, brownies and even decor to match Juliet's room- she thought of everything! Thank you sooo much to Mollie and everyone else who was able to come meet/see Jules!
(When I moved to Texas, I first heard the term "sip n see" from my friend Jessica. It is basically a get together of friends after a baby is born to "sip" some coffee, tea, wine, whatever and "see" the new baby. I never thought I'd get the honor of having a sip n see myself!)
the set up
Miss Juliet in her beautiful new dress from the Axtells!
Our good friend and babysitter, Rebekah
Mommy and Juliet
two girls from my on-line mom's board were able to come Juliet too! (Amanda and Shannon)
Grandma was in town too! (Grandpa and Uncle John were busy golfing with Chris!)
Aidric and Lily hangin' upstairs (her dad was supervising and it was all innocent cuddling)
Aidric joined the party for a little while and found some crayons

the outrageous chubbiness...
I love it. She is so sweet, cuddly and lovable. The cheeks especially. They are by far the most kissable cheeks I've ever come across. Your lips just sink into them.
The other day I couldn't resist stripping her down and capturing the rolls. Who knows when they'll disappear? (though I can tell you AJ had some of his until he turned 1)

back to that "2 months" post...
I started this post when she really was 2 months old, as opposed to the 2 months and 13 days that she is now. Better late than never! Her stats from her 2 month appointment:
Height: 22.5 inches
Weight: 12 lbs.
At her appointment yesterday, she was 12 lbs. 2 oz. Being sick has taken a toll on her appetite, but we're not worried- at 12 lbs., she is not going to waste away! She's been on breathing treatments 2-3 times a day since Monday, but she is sounding MUCH better now.
These pictures were taken way back when.
this was taken the same day- she'd been smiling for a couple of weeks, but this was the first one I managed to catch on film- blurry and grainy, but I'll take it!

in honor of Valentine's Day
I have so much blogging to do in order to catch up from our last few weeks!! I said in the last post that we were headed uphill health-wise. Well, I was wrong. Aidric was headed uphill. Jules has RSV/bronchiolitis. She's on breathing treatments now too- we go back for a check up with her tomorrow.
Anyway, tonight is NOT the night I am going to catch up on blogging. But, I had to share just one from my attempt to get a good one of Aidric and Juliet together in their red and white in honor of Valentine's Day.

our little sickie
This is a long overdue update! After a trip to the pediatrician on Tuesday afternoon, Aidric was sent to the ER for a chest x-ray. They found a spot on his right lung they were concerned about..thinking pneumonia, they admitted him for the night. After a LONG almost 24 hours of vomiting, oxygen, IV fluids and plenty of Elmo, Aidric was discharged on Wednesday with a diagnosis of atelectasis. A little google search explained this to be a small pocket of his lung collapsed. It's supposed to resolve itself, though he is receiving breathing treatments at home in the meantime.
Luckily, Juliet seems to have evaded the sickness for now. We took them both in for a check up yesterday, and while she has a cough, it's not concerning to the doc. Looks like it will be uphill from here. (for now...)

2 months already??
I can't believe Juliet is two months old already!! I think time goes faster with the second child. I am going to take her pictures with her "month sign" and teddy bear tomorrow and she has a dr.'s appointment in the morning, so I'll have her height and weight too. Just wanted to do a quick post tonight though with a few pictures from the last few days.
